That is the heart behind Member Giving Week and today’s focus: Game Changer Tuesday.
The Benbrook Community Center YMCA is inviting members and neighbors to stop by, pick up a little sports-themed swag while supplies last, and learn how they can support programs that help local kids and families thrive.
Every donation helps fund youth sports, scholarships, and community programs that create access for children who may not otherwise have the chance to participate. From basketball courts to soccer fields, those opportunities often become the place where confidence grows and leadership begins.
YMCA leaders say sports help children develop cardiovascular and muscular strength, healthy habits, accountability, teamwork, self-esteem, and even stronger academic performance through time management and discipline.
In short, it is not just about the game.
It is about giving more kids the chance to belong, to grow, and to discover what they are capable of.
