Fort Worth ISD Unveils 2026-27 School Year Calendar.

Fort Worth ISD’s Board of Trustees has approved the academic calendar for the 2025-26 school year, allowing families to plan.

According to Interim Superintendent Karen Molinar, one standout addition is the new teacher flex day, which offers educators a well-deserved break midway through the fall semester.

Here are the key dates:

• First day of school: August 11, 2026
• Labor Day (No School): September 7, 2026
• Fall holidays (No School): October 8-9, 2026
• Veterans Day (No School): November 11, 2026
• Thanksgiving break: November 23-27, 2026
• Last day of fall semester: December 18, 2026
• Winter break: December 18, 2026 – January 4, 2027
• First day of spring semester: January 5, 2027
• Martin Luther King Jr. Day: January 18, 2027
• Parent-teacher conference day (No School): February 15, 2027
• Spring break: March 15-19, 2027
• Spring holiday (No School): March 26, 2027 & March 29, 2027
• April holiday (No School): April 3, 2027
• Last day of school: May 26, 2027
