I-30 Lane Closures and Night Detours Set for This Week.

If your daily drive runs along I-30, expect a slower and more carefully planned commute this week.

According to the latest Keep 20-30 Moving update, daytime lane reductions will take place April 6 through April 11, with both eastbound and westbound traffic narrowed to one lane between FM 2871 and Linkcrest Drive. Similar daytime work will also impact lanes between Alameda Street and Linkcrest Drive as crews handle repairs and maintenance.

The biggest shift comes overnight. From April 7 through April 10, eastbound I-30 will be fully closed between Spur 580 and Loop 820 from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. while crews place bridge beams for the FM 2871 overpass. Drivers will be routed to I-20 eastbound, then northbound on Loop 820, with Spur 580 as a secondary detour.

For drivers in Benbrook and surrounding areas, timing is key. Midday travel will be tighter than usual, and overnight routes will require detours.
