Western Hills Artists Shine at Fort Worth Butterfly Exhibit.

For a few weeks in March, student artwork from Western Hills found a home alongside thousands of live butterflies.

Three students, Vivian Maina, Kaen Paloma, and Zahra Rezai, were selected as winners in the annual Butterflies in the Garden Art Competition, hosted by the Fort Worth Academy of Fine Arts. Their work was featured in a student exhibition tied to the larger Butterflies in the Garden event at the Fort Worth Botanic Garden.

The exhibit, which runs from March 1 through April 30, fills the Rainforest Conservatory with exotic butterflies and draws visitors from across the area. As part of the eventโ€™s educational outreach, student artists are given the chance to share their work with the public, connecting creativity with the natural world.

At Western Hills, the recognition reflects both student talent and steady classroom guidance. Art teacher Carol Pryor was recognized for helping shape and support the students behind the work.

For those who want to take a closer look, photos of the featured pieces are available here. Enjoy!
