Students Gear Up for Battle of the Books.

For students who enjoy a good book and a little competition, Benbrook Middle High School is opening the door to both.

Teams are now forming for this year’s Battle of the Books, with interested high school students encouraged to sign up in the school library with Mrs. Heick by March 27.

The annual competition will take place on May 12 at Texas Christian University, giving students the chance to test their knowledge alongside peers from other schools.

It is a simple idea with lasting impact. Students read, collaborate, and compete, building both confidence and community along the way. For many, it is not just about winning, but about discovering new stories and finding their place in them.
