BENBROOK, TX — A strong week for Western Hills High School turned into a standout moment for the entire community two weeks ago.
Five choirs from Western Hills, including non-varsity and varsity treble and tenor-bass groups along with the chamber choir, competed in last week’s UIL competition. All five earned sweepstakes ratings, the highest honor awarded at the event.
The achievement sets Western Hills apart as the only school in Fort Worth ISD to bring home five sweepstakes trophies this year, a result that reflects months of preparation, discipline, and teamwork.
Under the direction of Blake Glass, the choirs have steadily built a reputation for excellence, and this performance adds another chapter to that story. For students, it is the reward of long rehearsals and a shared commitment to getting better together.
For Benbrook, it is a reminder that some of the most meaningful wins happen not on a field but on a stage, where effort, unity, and a love for the craft come together in a way hard to miss.
