Ring in the Year of the Horse at Benbrook Library.

Benbrook residents looking to welcome the Lunar New Year in a creative way have an opportunity to do just that on February 17 from 5:30 to 7:00 pm at the Benbrook Public Library.

This year marks the Year of the Horse, and adults 18 and older are invited to craft their own decoupage wooden horse using vibrant decorative papers inspired by the Fire Horse. The hands-on workshop blends art with tradition, giving participants a chance to reflect on themes often associated with the horse, such as strength, vitality, and forward momentum.

Each guest will leave with a personalized keepsake to carry into the new year, along with a deeper appreciation for the cultural celebration behind it. Registration is required.

The Benbrook Public Library is located at 1065 Mercedes St. For more details or to reserve a spot, visit https://benbrooklibrary.org or call 817 249 6632.
