The Western Hills Lady Cougars are still searching for their first victory of the season after a challenging run in tournament play this weekend.
Entering the event at 0-8, the team hoped to turn a corner, but three straight losses pushed their record to 0-11.
The opener resulted in a 57-32 loss to Lake Worth, though the 32 points marked the Lady Cougars’ highest-scoring outing so far. Game two was a struggle on both ends, resulting in a 41-9 loss to Itasca. The final matchup ended in a 46-9 defeat to Maypearl, leaving Western Hills still looking for payback after last season’s lopsided meeting.
The Lady Cougars now get a short break before returning to action against Eastern Hills at 7:30 p.m. on December 16. Cougar Pride, this is the time to show up, get loud, and lift this team as they hunt for that first win.
