A small seasonal perk has popped up in Benbrook thanks to the recent storms.

The gusty weather shook loose another round of fresh pecans, and one neighbor behind the QuickTrip at Highway 377 and Sproles is inviting residents to come gather some before they’re gone.

Anyone interested is welcome to stop by with a bucket, as long as they’re mindful of the yard’s holiday decorations. Pickup is available before 5 p.m., since the homeowner heads to work in the evenings.

It’s a simple offer, but one that fits the spirit of the season: good neighbors sharing what they have, right when the holidays call for a little extra warmth and generosity.
