Residents Meeting Tomorrow To Rally Against Flood Risk.

A growing number of Benbrook families are coming together to push back against flood concerns tied to new development.

Trinity Estates, Trinity Gardens, and Timbercreek Estates are all in the spotlight as residents demand answers and accountability before federal approvals move forward.

On Saturday, August 30, from 12 to 1:30 p.m., neighbors will gather at the Benbrook Public Library, 1065 Mercedes Street. The meeting provides an opportunity for residents to share their concerns and learn about the steps being taken to prevent the Letter of Map Revision (LOMR) from being approved without further review.

The communityโ€™s goals are clear. First, an immediate pause on the LOMR approval process until a thorough investigation is completed. Second, a comprehensive state-level review, paired with an independent engineering study, to verify flood risks and confirm or challenge the developerโ€™s report. Finally, a commitment to transparency, with all findings and decisions reported openly to the public.

Benbrook residents are encouraged to attend, listen, and speak up. This meeting provides an opportunity for local voices to shape the future of neighborhoods that may be directly affected by flooding.
