Friday, August 22, is shaping up to be a big night for Bobcat Nation.
The annual Meet the Bobcat event kicks off at 7:30 p.m. at the Benbrook High School football field, providing families, fans, and neighbors with an opportunity to celebrate the start of a new school year and cheer on local athletes.
The evening promises to be filled with plenty of fun. Chic-fil-A is bringing food, games, and prizes, while FunkyTown Freeze will be serving snow cones. Vendors and fresh BMHS merchandise will be on hand, and the concession stand will be open for business. Fans can also catch the Lady Bobcats volleyball team taking on Venus High School at 5 p.m. in the high school gym before the main event.
The Benbrook Athletic Booster Club is seeking volunteers to help keep the night running smoothly. Help is needed with concessions, merchandise, and even manning the grill. It is a chance to lend a hand, meet neighbors, and support the Bobcats in a big way.
